This is our signature wool performance sock. Made in Lexington, North Carolina by a family owned business, our sock is black all over with a heather grey heel and toe detail. The top is a pique weave with the Foot Fault logo in white and the bottom is slightly padded. The 2 inch ankle cuff fits above the average running shoe and gives you ankle coverage with low hikers like Adidas Terrex. In addition, the 2 inch cuff keeps the dirt and grass from getting down inside the sock and features our brand lettering on the back. The toe seam is well stitched and positioned so that it never gets stuck in your toes. The ecofriendly fabric is a blend of upcycled wool and polypropylene (rPET) that wicks moisture and keeps your feet comfortable and dry.

Initial impression
I’m an aging athlete and a type-1 diabetic so foot health is extremely important to my overall health. There are so many options for athletic socks and many of the most expensive just miss the mark. This is a preliminary review based on 1 day of wear. The cushioning for the balltoes and heel is generous and still feels stable when hikingrunning. Rather than skimp on material across the top of the foot and the instep there is a healthy thickness rather than the mesh you find in most sox. This is important if you have some difficulty with getting laces snug enough without feeling the restricted blood flow. My first impression on initial wear is well made, good design, comfort that lasts the entire day. I’m ordering more and will follow up with a review of resilience and durability after several more wearings...for now I’ll give it a solid 4 out of 5 but if these things hold up to long hikes that number may go up
